The second day of the youth exchange „New opportunities for people with disabilities“ started with a lot of excitement and vivid discussions. In their national teams, the participants had the opportunity to share their thoughts and experience about what is like to live with disability in their daily life. They presented the situation in their countries and discussed ways and practices how this can be improved. Each country spoke about their best practices and how they can be implement and transferred to the other countries and different communities.
After well deserved brake and a delicious lunch the participants started they’re afternoon session. In small international groups, they were given a daily life challenge that a person living with disability faces. They had the task to brainstorm and then present ideas on how this concrete issue can be changed for the better and how the community can deal with the problem to improve the quality of life.
The youngsters closed the day with a leaders meeting to discuss the day, share their thought on the project, give feedback from their team and speak about the next days to make sure that everybody is feeling comfortable with the environment and the activities they’ re doing.
At the night, the participants had a cultural event and a dinner, where in non – formal environment, members from the Federation of Disabled organisations presented past projects and discussed future ideas.
