The youth exchange „New opportunities for people with disabilities“- briefly

Youth exchange „New opportunities for people with disabilities“ will be hosted by Sdrujenie ”Sporten klub “Special Olympics- Pleven” in Pleven, Bulgaria from 23 – 31 August 2019. The youth exchange will include 30 young people including young people with disabilities coming from the following countries: Bulgaria, Turkey and North Macedonia. The participants with and without a disability will work together on exploring various issues connected with living with disabilities in participant’s countries. They will share their issues, experiences and discuss ways how to raise awareness especially of young people in their communities on the challenges that people with disabilities face on daily bases. Moreover, during the youth exchange „New opportunities for people with disabilities“ the participants will capture their stories in form of photos, videos and written interviews and share them through social media with goal to reach also young people not directly involved in the activity and raise their awareness on issues that young people with disabilities have.
